Piece of Land Gets Cleared

"It's OK Mom and Dad, I'm the foreman on the job. It's all under control as long as I don't step off this pavement." Hey, rules are rules - they're in the parenting book.

This is Perry's Baby. And this is Perry.
Master Maverick Maneuverer.

Zeke explaining to Dad what's going on with the digger.

All eye's on Perry's Baby loading the loot.

Foreman on the job - he'll circle the premises to make sure the job is getting done up to his specs. Of course the parenting rule book states he must stay on paved land. We explained to him that we didn't make the rules.

'Little mover' is happy with the progress he's seeing so far.

Here are some before and after snaps.

This is looking off the neighbors land that's already been cleared.

Ours is the full treed one in the distance.

All cleared!

The first Casuarina tree on the left is the neighbors.

The second on the right is ours and since we have to protect our investment and during a hurricane it could come down anyway, it's coming down now!

And here we are a few weeks later. Neighbors have been busy building but they've left their tree. Ours, gone!

Before looking from the SW.

After from the SW.

A view down Diamond Lane.

You can see where our property ends and the neighbors begins. Their property has already been cleared.

A view down Diamond lane after the Perry's baby has been for a visit.

Remember the big Casuarina that we were talking about taking down?

Well, it was a great deal bigger than we thought. So big that it couldn't be broken apart even though we had chain and all. So......we loaded 'er up on the truck and hauled 'er away. Zeke monitored to be sure that it was sitting on the flat bed just so. That was probably the highlight of this whole experience....."Mom, dis a weally big tree!"

All end's well in a day's work.

We actually didn't do any of the work but stay tuned OUR work is yet to come.............
