The Best For Last!

After 3 weekends of digging trenches, filling them with soil, planting our hedge and palms and then setting up the soakers, we are finally finished all that we are going to do on the homestead before the baby is born and certainly before the humble little abode is built. Now, all greenery can sit and grow in the next few months.

This is Zeke posing with his little coconut tree and his red fire sunglasses. It was the last tree we planted on piece-o-land. Always saving the best for last!

Zeke found a coconut and we stuck it in some soil in a bucket back in May. Everyday, we went outside to watch it progress and grow. And now, after 4 months, it's nearly as tall as Zeke. He's pretty proud of his little coconut. He says, ''It's amazing!"

Of course he was mad at first that we were uprooting coconut from his home and planting him on piece of land.We've already started Zekie's coconut numero 2 and 3 and soon we'll have a whole nursery.

The cutest was when he had trouble understanding why it was taller than he was BEFORE we put it into the ground and can't quite understand why it's shorter now. "Dats not my coconut Momma."
