On Saturday morning......Jason went Scuba diving with some friends so I took Zeke to the 2nd leg of the three part series of a 2M run race. Went home to catch some Zzzzzz's and was back in the water at 4pm for a Swimming race.......the first one of the 'new' season (runs on the school season I guess).

The whip cream on top was my entourage and cheering squad! Got to love it when you pop your head out of the water and there's the little body you popped out of yours smiling at you shouting and jumping for joy, " Momma simming, Momma goggles on eyes....one, two eyes....Momma wear hat....Momma simming!" The memories are imprinted in my heart! And you think, too cute.......yeah! that's my kid! Oh me so happeeeeeeeeeeee!

I usually crawl up on the sand (like a beached whale who just chased a bunch of dolphins) after these events and Zeke runs rampant around me in circles smiling from ear to ear, showing me what little treasures he's picked up while I was 'away'.

The cherry on top of this sundae was the fact that Momma Bacac finally (after her one too many 3rd place finishes according to Jason - he's teasing me) gets a 2nd place finish in her age group.

It's goof off time with the crabbie hat......................thank goodness one of the three of us is SANE. Can you guess which one? May not appear but Jason is the biggest joker of us all......the camera just needs 'ears' not eyes to capture. Ahhh, we're all a little quirky in this family.......ZEST!

The quirky Bacaki Maki and her little spicy Shitaki!
My friend Jill..........we frequent the races together. Good moral support for both of us.
After the race festivites, when all participants have exited, the Bacac's are the only ones left on the beach. We enjoy some snack before heading home.........Zeke divies up the portions.
Some for Dada.........

Some for Momma........

Sunday morning Zeke and I rose early with "Cock the Cock" (the resident rooster) and headed to a restaurant on the water called the Wharf. There the next road race for the EVENT FULL weekend began only this time a little longer than the day before......5K. No problem...........now we'll try pushing a stroller!!! I had to keep reminding myself along the way while singing, "That which doesn't kill me will make me stronger."
Jason gets rare amounts of sleep in time.....so seeing that this race began at 6:30 am, we left him to saw logs for a little while longer. Eventually he met us at the beach around 8. So much for sleeping in!
At the finish line.....this is what we saw. This and a great breakfast for all participants held at a restaurant on the water called Calico Jacks.
Any idea what Zeke does when he sees a sandcastle?
Here we are looking all hot, sweaty, stinky and UNbothered!

These arrangements, if you will, were part of a sandcastle contest taking place Saturday afternoon. The funny thing is that the swim race Saturday ended just down the beach. After the swim race finished, we could see a big swath of people gathered around the beach and everyone was cheering, etc......but we had no idea there was a contest on......otherwise we would have added that to our plates for an all time event FULL weekend!
A mermaid hanging loose with a bottle of ABSOLUT VODKA!

My little Egyptian Shitaki! I had to keep him occupied in the stroller. He was so ALL OVER those castles and if let out of the cage would have done some serious Zeke the Zephyr work!

After the running race, we headed to our local watering hole to enjoy a morning at the beach. Well, this is Zeke's watering hole anyway.
HE LOVES THIS SHOWER! So much so that that morning he did a job right on the cement!
As a parent, embarassing............but, what do you do? You look at one another, holding back the laughter, dig a deep hole, scoop it up, drop it in and cover it up! Done......crabbie food galore!

FULLNESS: the condition of being filled to capacity; greatness of volume; the state of being full, or of abounding; abundance; completeness.
