Voila! And Here We Have Zekie's Boathouse!

We went to one of the local furniture stores on the island and put in a request for a large box. We thought one the size of a refigerator would work. But, we had to wait a week to get it.

Zeke's first impression of his boathouse was a good one! Click on PLAY to see for yourself!

Then we began by taking an exacto knife to the box and since Zeke is into learning his shapes, we cut out all the shapes under the sun.







Then we created a polka dot door, slapped some paint on it with all the under water sea creatures Zekie wanted.




And.....from there Zekie's Boathouse evolved!


This boathouse comes complete with a blowhole and a custom made sail.



Through this project, Zeke can recognize many of the colors and shapes. And not to mention, it's his little home that Momma and Dada can't enter because we don't fit. When he wants to hide he runs in there and we pretend we can't find him. It's pretty funny!
