Seattle Aquarium

After we went to California for two weeks, Jason returned back to the island and Zeke and I hopped a bird up to Seattle to visit with Uncle Dan (my brother) and his girlie girl Auntie Miranda for a week. We had a blast!

One of the first places we went was the Seattle Aquarium! Of course.....because two years ago this Christmas Day I gave birth to a little nemo myself.

For the longest time we've been trying to explain to Zeke about scuba diving. Pretty much every Saturday morning Jason goes diving and so we're trying to tell Zeke just what he does. This exhibit of the scuba diver explained it quite well. Now, we're beng told, "Zekie go cube-a di wid Dada." One day.....

The touch tanks at the Seattle Aquarium are fantastic. They had so many different types of starfish to touch. Zeke LOVED it!

In the kids interactive section of the aquarium, there were these most AWESOME glass tiles all along the wall that children had made. They all depict an underwater scene. And together make for the most amazing piece of art! I was mesmorized and Zeke couldn't stop touching!!!

Check out the scuba bikini diver!

Check out the scuba diver that stuck his finger in a light socket!

This was an enchanting display of coral - the colors were incredible!

Two of Zeke's favorites - the Angel fish..........

and the puffer fish.........

And this one just looked interesting.......I've never seen him before!

"No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. And no dolphin who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands can be considered normal." - Jacques Yves Cousteau
